Monday 25th April 2022    Back to School

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you have all had a good week.  We have had quite a quiet week in school but next week will be busy with the build up to Easter.

One worry this week has been around children easily accessing inappropriate videos and games online.  We are seeing many links to what appears to be inoffensive characters, such as teddy bears, which are not what they seem and have sinister undertones, inappropriate for children in primary school.   Please can I ask that you check parental settings on all devices children are using and check on search history, particularly when children are accessing YouTube.

Our last week of the term is busy:

Monday we have a skipping workshop for all classes.

Next week some of our Year 5 and 6 children are also heading to Staynor Hall primary to take part in a netball tournament after school.  They have been training hard for the event and we hope they do really well against our other Trust schools in our cluster (not that I am competitive at all!).  Good luck to the team!

Next Friday we are decorating Easter eggs and making Easter cards during the morning – please can children bring in boiled eggs and any additional decorations they would like.  The eggs will be judged and the winners announced in church during our Easter service.

Easter service at 1.30pm in church on Friday.  All children will be taking part so please join us.

As we come to the end of this term, we must say, ‘Good luck and thank you’ to Mrs Blower who is retiring.  Mrs Blower has been at the school for over 20 years and she will definitely be missed.  We wish her lots of happiness as she starts her retirement.

I hope you all have a good weekend and see you next week.

Thank you for all your support as always.

Mrs Fletcher
