A Message from the Headteacher…

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope your week has gone ok and everyone is keeping strong.  We have one more week until the children can have a break from school learning and I am sure they are all looking forward to the well earned rest.

We have a busy week planned for the children next week with learning about festivals and Chinese New Year.  We will also be having a ‘Safer Internet’ day on Thursday and on Friday we are having a screen free day – children will be set challenges that give them a break from using the computer.  Information will be shared with children and parents by teachers in each class.  We hope you enjoy the break from working on screens.

Although, on our calendar dates, we have sharing assemblies set, we are going to postpone these until everyone is back in school (fingers crossed that will not be too long) and will celebrate classes being together again instead.

We are also changing one of our training days planned for Friday 19th March just in case school has started to open to more children by then.  It would be very unfair to start to have more children in school, settling back into routines and then not long after, close for a training day.  So, the training day on Friday 19th March has been cancelled and school will now have two training days on 8th and 9th July instead.

The Trust would also like to invite budding poets to enter our Trust poetry competition.  The theme is looking forwards, as we dare to look ahead to a world free from restrictions. What are you looking forward to most of all? What’s around the corner?  Please see the shared poster and get writing! Poetry Competition

Many thanks,

Mrs Fletcher
