School Update 29/01/21
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you are all keeping going during this very difficult time. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate everything you are doing with your child’s learning. Hearing how parents are juggling work, family and children’s learning in such a positive way is truly amazing. We do understand how stressful it is, so please speak to us if you need any help or it is all getting too much. Hopefully the government will confirm when all of school can return soon so we have a date to look forward to.
Thank you to all those parents who could join us on zoom for our parent forum this week. It is always good to share what we are doing and get feedback on what is working well and suggestions to improve. I will organise another forum after half term to share updates.
This week, teachers have been ringing parents and children to check in and talk to you which has been well received by parents so far. We are very aware that children and parents may well feel isolated and hope phone calls every couple of weeks will help.
Please can I ask, if your child still needs a reading book from school, please would you let us know and we will arrange for collection. We also have some art packs for key stage 2 children still to be collected too. Again, please ring the office to arrange collection. I have also attached some ‘top tips’ to support your child’s reading. Hope it is helpful.
Today and this weekend is ‘National Birdwatch’ and school is taking part. So, if you can, have a look outside this weekend and see how many different kinds of garden birds are around.
Have a good weekend,
Mrs Fletcher
