Good afternoon

I hope you have all had a good weekend, albeit a bit blowy and cold.

Thank you for meeting with teachers online last week for parent teacher meetings.  The teachers felt they were very positive meetings.

I also wanted to update you on some staffing changes:

Miss Eley is moving on to ventures new so will no longer be working in our Early Years unit.  She will be sadly missed but we wish her lots of luck.  I will keep you updated on her replacement.

We welcome Mrs Gibb this week who will be working in the office.

We now only have three weeks left of school before Christmas and it is a very busy few weeks!

Children have been practising hard for the Key Stage 2 carol concert in church on Thursday (2pm) and the Early Years and Key Stage 1 nativity (next week in school).  The final week is Christmas dinner day.  We are still hoping to invite parents to join us for these events but, because of the new COVID variant, the following guidance must be followed:

  • Every adult MUST wear a face mask unless they have medical proof they are exempt.  (If you are exempt, please share proof with the office before the event)
  • Every adult must take a lateral flow test prior to any event in school and not attend if it is positive.
  • Everyone must sanitise hands prior to entering the event and sign their name on our register to confirm they have had a negative LFT.

If we have to have further restrictions and we can no longer invite parents to the events, I will let you know as soon as I can.  We will also record the carol concert and nativity so if you cannot come in or do not want to risk mixing with others, you will still be able to see the performances.

I do hope we can share the performances with you in person but I am sure you understand if we are not able to.

Have a lovely week,

Mrs Fletcher
