Dear All,

I hope you have all had a good weekend.

After a bubble closure and increased COVID cases in the community, we have had to change plans for the rest of term to minimise risk of spreading the virus.

Unfortunately this means we will not be able to have parents attend some activities we had planned and we will have to postpone some events.

So the following will now take place:

Reception new starters parent meeting (Wednesday 16th June – 4.30) will now be online.

STEM week and STEM fair (Starting Monday 28th June) We will still have STEM week but will record our STEM fair and share with parents on Parenthub.

Individual and class photos (Monday 28th June) We have had to postpone the photographer until the autumn term. But, we know how important school photos are to parents so we will take photos of all the children, including siblings and classes and will then share them electronically with you so you at least have something for now.

Puberty and menstruation talks (Children’s session Tuesday 6th July) Year 4/5/6 parents will be invited to a meeting on zoom on Thursday 29th June at 5pm.

Sports Day (Wednesday 7th July) Unfortunately we cannot have parents attend this year but we will have races in bubbles, record the events and then share with you all.

Transition weeks (From Monday 12th July) Children will move with their class bubble to their new class this week. All classrooms will have had a thorough clean the Friday before. Children will have the final day of term with their old teacher but they will remain in their new classroom.

School Lunches resume in the hall (From Monday 12th July) For the last two weeks of term we will have lunches in the hall again rather than classrooms. There will be two sittings, one for hot dinners and the next for packed lunches as we have too many children now in school for everyone to be in the hall together. Children will remain in their bubble during each sitting. Hot dinners will need to be booked before 4th July otherwise children will need to bring in a packed lunch, including free school meals. There will be an additional option to book a jacket potato.

Parent Forum (Tuesday 13th July) This will still go ahead on zoom. I would like to get your views on what has worked well this year and improvements we can make so I do hope you can attend – link to follow.

Whole school celebration and fish and chip supper (Thursday 15th July) Unfortunately we will have to postpone this until the autumn term. Fingers crossed we can all get together in school then.

Year 6 celebration day (Wednesday 21st July) This will go ahead in school with a graduation at the start of the day. Unfortunately parents will not be able to attend but we will record the graduation and share with you.

Finish for summer (Friday 23rd July) – School closes at 1pm.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Many thanks,

Mrs Fletcher
